Our Trainee Counsellor Placement Programme for those working towards a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling (or higher), and is a great way to engage in development.
Meet and Greet Sessions
Our biannual Meet and Greet session, is a fantastic opportunity for Trainee Counsellors to meet us and get to know what we can offer. The session will include open discussion, informative presentations, and a platform for you to discover common interests.
Dates for 2024
Thursday 7th March 2024 at 8.00pm. 1 Hour.
Thursday 24th October 2024 at 8.00pm. 1 Hour.
Clinical Hours
Work towards the clinical hours required for your course or accreditation
Structured Placement
Your placement will last 12 months with the option to continue for longer
Free Supervision
You will be provided 2 hours of supervision a month in small groups of 4.
Placement Expectations.
Our Trainee Counsellor Placement Programme is a voluntary agreement between the Trainee Counsellor and the Placement Provider to enable trainees to meet the course requirements for clinical hours.
All placement counsellors will need to undertake mandatory induction and administration training before starting client work and further optional training opportunities will be available to you.
Communication makes up a large part of your placement experience and you can expect your supervisor to communicate with you regularly so that you feel supported. At the end of your placement, you will be provided with a reference to reflect your work with us.
